I gave Case a haircut last week. Usually we do blade #3 but it still leaves his hair pretty long and his hair grows fast so I'm ready to give him a haircut about 2 weeks later. We're missing blade #2 so I decided to use the #1. It couldn't be that bad could it? Well, silly me, I started in the front of his head and there was no turning back from there. It is pretty short and he was not too pleased with me afterwards. He didn't like how it felt, but it looks pretty cute now that its grown out a little.
This morning I was sitting on the floor for about 20 minutes and one of my feet fell asleep. I slowly walked to the kitchen where I stood shaking my leg. Case came up to me and asked what I was doing. I told him that my foot fell asleep. He got down on the floor by my feet and said, "Feet, wake up. Big toe, wake up. Little toe, wake up." Super cute!
This year we went to Glenwood Springs for the 4th, followed by a parade in Aspen and then a picnic lunch up in the mountains at The Grottos with family and friends. We got a hotel room this year instead of camping like we usually do - we didn't think a newborn screaming in the middle of the night at a campgrounds sounded like fun. We biked DOWN McClure Pass which was very scary. I'm sure that we were going 50-60mph on a bike. Collin told us not to use our brakes much or they would get hot and burn out.
