Finger Painting

We made our own finger paint two weeks ago and the kids had a blast.  Especially Siahna who loves to get dirty!  The paint can even be eaten, but thankfully Siahna didn't try to sample.

3 T. sugar
1/2 t. salt
1/2 C. corn starch
2 C. water

Combine ingredients in small saucepan.  Warm until mixture thickens.  Cool and pour into containers.  Add food coloring to create desired colors.  Enjoy!

Random

Siahna trying to straighten out those curls.  Apparently I straighten my hair with my mouth wide open as she was copying what she's seen me do!

This is where I found Siahna eating her snack yesterday - in her laundry basket.  Thank goodness it was empty.

These are the roses that were waiting for me Friday night when I got home.  Lovely!

This Is What They Wore

I was recently going through some clothes for the kids and came across the outfits they wore home from the hospital.  Hard to believe they were ever that little.

Valentine's Gift

Are you familiar with Satin Hands from Mary Kay?  It's a sugar scrub for your hands that makes your hands really soft after using?  Well, I've found the perfect make at home sugar scrub for less than $1 (Mary Kay retails for $34 for the Pampering Kit).  I made these cute little jars for Case's teachers at preschool and since you use pink soap, they're perfect for Valentine's.  And, after Case tried it I had to make a jar for us to use at home.

Check out the link here for directions.  I found the same soap at the Dollar store and you can buy jars there too if you don't have some on hand.  This is the perfect gift for a teacher, girlfriend or coworker (or maybe even yourself).

Let me know if you make it!

Spaghetti Western Night

Case's preschool does a spaghetti western night where they serve a meal (spaghetti) and all of the teachers participate in either serving the food or by entertaining the children.
