Baby Steps = Big Progress

The little things Siahna does make us excited. Even when she laughs, it sometimes makes us cry. Lately, she has started understanding some of the things we say to her which is HUGE. It gives us hope and makes us believe that she is working very hard to catch up and wants to learn and understand.

She knows the words "hat" - she can look at your hat if you ask her or if you're not wearing one she'll still look at the top of your head, "eyes up" - she'll look up if she feels like it (she's also very good at ignoring), "up" - if she wants picked up and you say "up" she'll raise her arms, "bottle" - what baby doesn't know that word?

All of these words have developed over the last couple weeks and make us super excited. She's also creeping along the couch so maybe walking isn't a year away!

Speech therapy went well, by the way. I liked what the therapist did and the ideas she gave us. Guess first impressions aren't always the best impressions.
