Sometimes the best things in your day are the unexpected. My cousin, Becca, was driving through NE today from Colorado and texted asking if Skeeter Barnes was a good place to eat in Kearney. Little did she know that I was in Kearney so Kate (my SIL) and I packed up the kids and met Becca and her cute family for dinner. She was so surprised and it was so nice seeing her.
I told Kate later that Becca is one of those people who makes you feel uplifted and happy when you leave her. Truly, Becca and her mom and aunts are the sweetest, most caring people you will ever meet. They ask such great questions and make you feel so loved and uplifted that you love being around them.
It truly brightened my day seeing my cousin and was an unexpected surprise. Thanks for deciding to stop in Kearney and I'm glad it worked out that I was in town for the weekend.
