Addiction

I'll admit.  I have a terrible addiction.  I have no will power.  No control.  I love jawbreakers.  I found them at the dollar store and can't stop eating them.  My mouth even develops sores but I can't stop.  Recently, Jeff and Case have taken my bags of jawbreakers away.  They felt no pity for me and my sore mouth but knew I wouldn't stop eating them if they were right in front of me.  So, they hid the bags in the house.  I thought about looking for them, but decided not to.  One afternoon, I asked Case if I could have one (nothing like asking a 4 year old permission to eat candy!).  Case said I could have 2 and went and got them.  I didn't follow to see where he went.  I ate my 2 and went on my merry way folding laundry.  As I was putting laundry away, I discovered the bag in Jeff's sock basket because Case hadn't hidden it after getting me jawbreakers.  Being the honest one I am, I proceeded to eat half the bag but told Jeff when he got home from work that I had found them.

After being scolded, Jeff and Case hid the bag in a new spot.  Fast forward a few weeks and I am cleaning and reorganizing the bookshelf in the toy room and find the bag of candy on the bookshelf.  I honestly wouldn't have ever found them there in a million years because I normally never even look at the shelf but just happened to get motivated that day to reorganize it.  So, I helped myself to a few more and the bag got hidden again!

Yesterday, I was cleaning out Case's closet because we're going to get him a new dresser (we keep his dresser in his closet) and found the bag of jawbreakers behind his dresser.  Again, I wouldn't have ever found these had I been looking.  I proceeded to finish off the bag, but was honest and texted Jeff at work that I had stumbled upon them again and eaten them all.

Hey, I oughta get points for being honest in my addiction.  :)  I'm not trying to hide it from anyone!

  1. Cute. : ) This reminds me of that heart that we would hide for each other. Well, except that we couldn't eat it.

  3. We had a speaker at MOPS last week about organization and it got me motivated. If we move (found some houses in Parker we like) then we need to get rid of stuff before we move. If we stay, I need to clean up anyway!

  4. Holly, I had forgotten about that. Case and I play that game - we hid a little Santa at Christmas and around Easter we hid a bunny he made at preschool. He loves that game.
