Red Faces all Around

Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary. While Jeff spent the day at work, I had to go to a co-teaching meeting this morning and then we are hosting our Wednesday night bible study for dinner tonight. Not your typical way to celebrate an anniversary. Which is why we went horseback riding last weekend and why we're climbing a 14'er this coming weekend (those of you not from around here, a 14'er is a mountain that reaches an elevation of 14,000 something.

My sister, Shiloh, had a pretty funny blog today recalling our wedding day and her losing Jeff's ring moments before heading down the aisle. That was just the beginning of losing important articles. Later that night when Jeff and I arrived at our hotel room, I discovered that my birth control was missing. My good friend Mindy was put in charge of bringing our bags and my purse to our room so I frantically called her room (yes, she was staying in the same hotel) and asked her if she knew if my pills may have fallen out of my purse at some point between the church and the hotel. After she got over her shock that I was calling her on my wedding night, she said that in fact my purse had spilled out in her car and she had thought she had gotten everything picked up.

About 5 min. later, there was a knock on our hotel room. Yep, it was Mindy with my birth control in hand. I'm pretty sure we were all a little embarrassed at that point, but I was more concerned about getting pregnant on my honeymoon than anything else!

Just gives us another good story to tell about our wedding day.
